Innovations
The project will enable meetings of people from various European regions who are not linguistically equipped and therefore would not have been able to meet each other and to communicate mutually. This will be enabled to them thanks to facilitation provided by staff of participating organizations. This approach itself presents a motivating factor for learning (e.g. of foreign languages).
The workshops organized within the project will be oriented among others also towards culture and cultural peculiarities of the involved regions. In this way the project will bring not only the geographical and intercultural knowledge to the participants of the workshops but it will also inform them about the European Year of Culture (2008) and will prepare them for it. As not many people are much informed about it yet, groups of local participants of the workshops will spread their knowledge further on to their acquaintances and family members, so the information will be handed over on a principle of a snow ball. All partners will develop, share and receive a CD-ROM with presentations (best practice examples), documents, records and photos from the transnational workshops, which should help them to remember what was presented and which can also help them to disseminate the relevant information and to promote the project. Participants will be also given leaflets of the project containing basic information and website address.
Participants will get a chance not only to participate actively in the prepared workshops/training and in the project promotion but they can be directly involved in creation of presentations of their culture/their region and in creation of some performances and activities for the transnational meetings. This can have crucial impact on their motivation and future active participation in learning. Mobility abroad is also planned for a participant to support motivation. Participants of the workshops will bring their feedbacks in a written form how the workshop influenced their learning strategies and their future participation in learning.
